Community Health

This department developed as an answer to a lack of accurate health information and preventative measures found in a majority of the population that falls within the influence of the clinic.

Objective:

To provide health education and promote preventive medical practices in the vacinity of San Martin Mexicapan, to motivate individual, family and collective practices to conserve and/or recover health.

  1. Chronic and Degenerative Illness:

    • Diabetes School: a ten session curricula given at La Clinica del Pueblo and one on site in a nearby neighborhood.
    • Free Screenings and information, as glucose and blood pressure detections are given periodically in surrounding economically poor neighborhoods.

    • Workshops and education in reproductive health are given to adolescents
    • Family Planning counseling
